Vice President Enrollment Management (Job ID:1488)
VP Enrollment Management

Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Enrollment Management provides leadership for the entire pipeline of undergraduate and graduate enrollment planning and management. The Vice President works with the campus to develop a strategic enrollment management plan to guide the University in recruiting, retaining, and graduating an academically prepared, diverse student body of lifelong learners. The Vice President has primary responsibility, in collaboration with academic and administrative units, for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan and for developing recruitment, admissions and retention initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Provides innovative leadership, vision and direction to the University's plans to increase undergraduate and graduate enrollment, work collaboratively with other vice-presidential areas to improve retention, increase and accelerate graduation results, and assess outcomes.
  • Leads and directs all areas of the Enrollment Management Division including the offices of: Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, International Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Enrollment Services, Enrollment Technology, and the Registrar.
  • Serves as a member of the President's Cabinet; participates actively at all University-wide meetings; represents the University at regional and national conferences and events. Reports regularly to the Board of Trustees, University Cabinet, Faculty Senate, and campus community on the state of enrollment at the University and emerging trends in enrollment management.
  • Works in coordination with other vice presidents on matters pertaining to enrollment management, student services, finance and budgeting, marketing, facilities and construction maintenance, human resources, policies, and legal matters.
  • Develops the overall Enrollment Management Division budget. Manages the allocation and monitoring of resources, operating budgets, personnel, space, and expenditures.
  • Manages the recruitment, development and evaluation of excellent and diverse full-time administrators and staff within the Enrollment Management division.
  • Ensures the attainment of all strategic plan goals and key performance indicators aligned with the Division.
  • Builds and maintains a diverse working environment that emphasizes integrity and professionalism, promotes excellence, and espouses integrity and collaboration.
  • Ensures Division compliance with regional accreditation standards and accreditation standards of those programs subject to other external accreditations.
  • Leads the development, direction, and implementation of enrollment management initiatives within the Division, including but not limited to course/program marketing and community outreach.
  • Assures adherence to state and federal regulations, and University policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that are appropriate for the position and as assigned by the President.
  • Hybrid remote work scheduling available depending upon institutional need.

 

Required qualifications

  • Graduate degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least five years of senior level administrative experience, with demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategies for the recruitment of a diverse student body.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and articulate constructive plans to support and advance approved enrollment management plans and the Strategic Plan.
  • Demonstrated experience in building international enrollment.
  • Demonstrated experience in building enrollment partnerships, international recruiters, and online providers.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of meeting enrollment goals and maintaining diversity and quality within the student body.
  • Thorough knowledge of enrollment management and a demonstrated record of providing leadership and results in achieving enrollment goals.
  • Experience with the development of strategic enrollment management plans and the effective implementation of such plans.
  • Knowledge of technological advancements in student information systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in an online environment using established platforms such as Teams and Zoom.

  • Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and long-term goals and to create clear, realistic plans to accomplish desired results.
