William Paterson University invites applications for Adjunct Professor within the College of Science and Health, Department of Public Health.  Applicants will be contacted depending upon immediate need or on an exploratory basis.

Department Overview:

The Department of Public Health is committed to preparing students to understand and critically analyze public health issues, to recognize the importance of health disparities, and to understand the local, national and global dimensions of public health issues.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Using the course outline as a guide, develop relevant syllabi in order to deploy course content, objectives, and methods of student assessment for up to six (6) credits per semester in an undergraduate course (see course listing above)
  • Contribute to student success by providing consistent and effective support and guidance through role modeling and mentoring

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned Master’s or PhD in Public Health or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years teaching in higher education

  • Ability to interact with others in a positive manner
